Skills in Antigravity - Connecting Google Antigravity with Google NotebookLM.

NotebookLM promises to be a (presently silly but in the future) way to mind map and mimic the way we humans organize knowledge internally. Therefore the idea is that we give it a bunch of text, like a reading a book as input. For Output, we get what we see in our heads... or atleast i see in my head,  a nice organization of reality...

NotebookLM would be useful with Antigravity, but totally redundant since the human is the knowledge organizer. Joining NotebookLM to Antigravity would basically remove the human from the equation. But... the human still owns the laptop on which the antigravity runs, and the human swans around picking what text to pop into the Notebook LM (i.e: taken from the LLM...)

This blog is about me trying to connect the two, myself. The first blog said i had to build a bridge, the second blog said i needed skills. (

Skills

So apparently, we can give the antigravity a set of skills.  Where our LLM as a model could ask for tools to delegate responsibility for certain tasks. The LLM would process a user request, reach the point of asking for a tool, and then the client would return the tool's products to the LLM, and then the LLM would return the response to the user. The LLM would interject the tool call in between the User request and  User response.
With Skills, the LLM takes the user's prompt, and automatically scans all of the skills, and picks the applicable skill. The response is then according to the skill.

So Skills is 0.5 of tool.  With tools, the LLM must also pick which tool it should use, and if it should use it. Then the LLM asks for it to be used.  With skills, the LLM must pick which skill to use, and then use it.

Turns out, skills are like prompt injections - just text, like talking to an employee. Do this, do that.

Setting up your skills.
Reading the fucking manual -  https://antigravity.google/docs/skills  -
  1.  we simply make a folder "<workspace>/skills" in your local work folder. You can also find the .gemini folder in your user folder, for skills that are applied everywhere.
  2. Ask the Antigravity LLM to create a skill to access the NotebookLM. Tough luck, now we have to create our own MCP bridge. precious time wasted.
  3.

Give me some skills?
