Life Releasing
Life releasing is when you rescue a lifeform (a creature or creatures) from being slaughtered by humans, and release them back into their natural habitat when it is safe.
Aquaponics
An aquaponics kit provides the ideal place for a rescued river-creature to be housed, while it is being hunted in the wild.
In the face of hunting baby-fish during spring, i buy living whitebait (baby fish) from the whitebaiters at the riverbank, and take them home.
At home i split the whitebait into freshwater fish and marine fish, then after months have passed and the 'whitebait hunting season is finished' i release the jouvenile fish and 'galaxid' whitebait into the river from whence they came.

Because the kit is fit for only one purpose, the kit houses only the baby fish (and not predators such as larger creatures. So when time comes to life-release the baby-fish, I sift through all the water of the kit one litre at a time through a small net, and that way I can find every single tiny whitebait.
In 2019, I got 10, 2 died in the salt-fresh sorting process, and 8 were transfered to the aquaponics kit.
Of those 8 4 were returned into the wild. 3 juvenile fish, and 1 galaxid whitebait.

Fish welfare.
The fish are put under certain strains when in captivity, that is due to either humans handling the fish and transfering them from container to container. In the Air, out of water, the fish have mere 2 seconds to be returned back to the water.
When moving fish from container to container, it is better to transfer them to a small container, submerge the small container into the larger container where the fish are going to.

The fish love to swim against the current (against momentum) as it helps their gills.
Once the fish are back in their ancestral habitat river, they are super happy and glad to spend their days as living creatures.
